The new Snap-Off Compression FT pins offer solutions for the upper and lower extremities and the trauma setting. The pins' ease of use, variable-stepped thread pitch, and wide range of sizes in diameters of 1.9 mm and 2.4 mm represent an innovative new technology to help treat pathologies including joint arthrodesis, hammertoe, intra- and extra-articular fractures, and nonunions. The pins can be used in conjunction with other Arthrex products to compress bone fragments.

Snap-Off Compression FT Pins

Bio-Compression Screws are versatile and may be used to treat a broad range of indications in both lower and upper extremities. Designed with a stepped pitch and taper, this screw draws two fragments together using straightforward instrumentation for drilling and tapping. Made of solid enhanced PLLA material, the BCS absorbs over time without losing strength during insertion or through the critical phases of healing. With Bio-Compression Screw technology, zero-head-prominence above the cortex and zero image on x-ray is possible, creating a very natural repair. Offered in two families, 3 mm and 3.5 mm, the 3 mm screws range in two millimeter lengths from 16–26 mm. The 3.5 mm screws are fully cannulated and come in two millimeter lengths from 16–32 mm with a variable proximal diameter. Applications in the foot and ankle include OCDs, fractures, osteotomies and arthrodesis of the tarsals, metatarsals and phalanges. From bunion correction to trauma management, the Bio-Compression Screw provides excellent compression and holding power maintained throughout the normal healing period. For lower extremity surgery, the Bio-Compression Screw may be inserted either percutaneously or in an open procedure. Accurate placement of the screw can be ensured by using the cannulated instrumentation in the set.

TRIM-IT Spin Pin™

The Trim-It™ pin simplifies PIP joint fixation, as the 1.5 or 2.0 mm pin seats into any standard wire driver. The PLLA material provides superior shear strength over competitive absorbable pins and enables the surgeon to anatomically position the toe after implantation, leaving the patient with an aesthetically pleasing flexed toe fusion.1,2

Digital Repair System

The DynaNite FlexWire is a two-zone nitinol wire that takes advantage of the superelastic properties of nitinol to improve upon standard K-wire fixation for hammertoe correction. Broken and bent wires are common complications with standard K-wire fixation.1 The superelastic properties of the implanted zone of this wire allow for the same correction surgeons are accustomed to with stainless steel wires, but with the advantage of reducing the risk of permanently bent wires in noncompliant patients. The bendable portion left outside of the toe can be bent, cut, and capped in standard fashion.
The FlexWire is offered in 0.86 mm, 1.1 mm, and 1.6 mm diameters.

DynaNite® FlexWire

The DynaNite nitinol compression plates take advantage of the superelastic property of nitinol to create dynamic compression across a fusion site. Each plate comes packaged with a compression device. When the compression device is removed, the bridge is allowed to widen to its manufactured natural state. As the plate widens, it shortens to compress the fusion site.
The DynaNite nitinol compression plates are offered in 5 different plate geometries of varying lengths. The plates can be fixated with 3.0 mm or 3.0 mm hybrid cortical and VAL screws.
The Arthrex DynaNite compression plates are intended to be used in conjunction with the Arthrex Compression FT screws.

DynaNite® Nitinol Compression Plates

The DynaNite nitinol guidewires take advantage of the memory properties of nitinol to allow the wires to bend and return to their original manufactured straight shape. Now available in both sterile and nonsterile options, these wires are a simple, but unique, way to increase efficiency in the operating room. The DynaNite nitinol guidewires are offered in .86 mm, 1.1 mm, and 1.6 mm diameters with various lengths, tips, and laser markings to match current stainless steel offerings.

DynaNite® Nitinol Guidewires

The DynaNite Nitinol staple is a low-profile implant that provides exceptional compressive fixation with easy-to-use instrumentation. The Arthrex DynaNite Nitinol staple is intended to be used for fixation procedures such as LisFranc arthrodesis, monocortical or bicortical osteotomies in the forefoot, 1st metatarsophalangeal arthrodesis, Akin osteotomy, midfoot and hindfoot arthrodeses or osteotomies, osteotomies for hallux valgus treatment (scarf and chevron), and arthrodesis of the metatarsocuneiform joint to reposition and stabilize metatarsus primus varus.

DynaNite® Nitinol Staple

The DynaNite PIP hammertoe implant is a threaded, cannulated, nitinol solution for hammer toe deformities. The implant barbs are extended by inserting a K-wire and maintain fixation due to the material properties of nitinol. Cannulation allows for surgeons to cross the MTP joint with the K-wire if desired and allows for precision drilling and insertion of the implant. Implants are offered in 12 mm, 14 mm, and 16 mm sizes.

Arthrex’s DynaNite nitinol product portfolio has harnessed the unique superelastic material properties of nitinol to create a versatile product line. Arthrex offers a comprehensive line of staples with 20 different bridge lengths and widths. Combined with the new DynaNite Compression Plates, surgeons have a multitude of dynamic compressive options for both fusion and osteotomy procedures about the foot.
Additionally, Arthrex is the first and only company to offer a cannulated, threaded nitinol hammertoe implant. The DynaNite PIP device is offered in 3 different lengths and straight and bent options. This devices offers surgeons a simple, reproducible, and stable construct to correct hammertoe deformities.
The DynaNite FlexWire is also available for hammertoe correction. For K-wire users, the superelastic end of the FlexWire provides the same fixation as a stainless steel K-wire, but with the added benefit of maintaining its straight shape.

DynaNite® Nitinol Products

The FibuLock fibular nail is a cutting-edge, biologically friendly treatment for ankle fractures. It is inserted into the fibula through a small incision and acts like an internal splint to stabilize the fracture during healing. This minimally invasive technique may reduce wound complications often associated with standard open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) plating techniques.1 The proximal talons allow for stable fixation to restore length, alignment, and rotation. The FibuLock nail is the only system on the market with this capability.

FibuLock® Fibular Nail

The FibuLock® Nail Ankle Fracture System provides a minimally invasive solution for virtually any distal fibula fracture. Surgeons can maintain fracture reduction with all the associated benefits of intramedullary nailing. Each nail has triangulation talons providing proximal fixation to the fracture. The talons can also be deactivated for easy removal. Nails come in 2 diameters, 3.0 mm and 3.8 mm, as well as 130 mm and 180 mm lengths, and accept syndesmotic fixation. Distally, an innovative locking mechanism using 2.7 mm screws provides multiplanar fixation and optional fracture compression.

The 5th metatarsal fracture system is a uniquely designed screw and plate system that provides surgeons a variety of options to efficiently and effectively treat complex 5th metatarsal fractures.

A variety of screw options, including locking, nonlocking, cortical, cancellous and hybrid designs are provided to address all fixation needs. Ankle Fusion Plating

Calcaneus Step Plate

The Arthrex CFS plating system combines many of our current midfoot, forefoot, and hindfoot plate and screw systems into one set (AR-8950S). The set is conveniently divided into 2.4/3.0 mm and 3.5/4.0 mm (AR-8950S-01 and AR-8950S-02) modules that house the new Metatarsal Plates, TMT Plates, x-Plates, and newly revised H-Plates. The new Lisfranc Plates were designed to provide fixation for acute Lisfranc injuries and fusions of the tarsal-metatarsal joints. Low Profile System Cotton Plates

The MaxForce MTP plates use two modes of compression to help provide maximized compression of the arthrodesis site. In addition to a standard oblong compression hole with eccentric drilling, these plates use a unique compression mechanism that allows surgeons to manually dial in compression for MTP fusions. The teeth in the plate align with the teeth on the compression device to work like gears. As the compression device is turned clockwise, the plate shifts proximally, compressing the MTP joint.
In addition, the new flat head cortical screws create a zero profile when seated fully into the plate, dramatically reducing hardware prominence.
Combined with an array of plate lengths and curvatures, the new MaxForce MTP plating system has been designed to offer surgeons the most comprehensive, compressive and lowest profile construct on the market today.

MaxForce™ MTP Plates

Arthrex mesh plates are available in titanium or stainless steel and standard and shorts lengths. Surgeons may cut the plates to size. The plates are intended for use in stabilization of fresh fractures, revision procedures, osteotomies, joint fusion, and reconstruction of small bones and bone fragments of the hand/wrist, foot/ankle, and osteopenic bone.

Mesh Plating System

Arthrex has a wide array of midfoot plating options housed in the CFS set. The surgeon can choose from specific TMT plates, H-plates, Lapidus plates, dorsal midfoot fusion plates, medial column plates, or mesh plates. The instrumentation for these implants is straightforward and easy to use, assisting the surgeon with distraction, provisional fixation, and other elements of the procedure.

Midfoot Plating Module

The Arthrex Mini Comprehensive Fixation System (Mini CFS) is designed to be a comprehensive solution for Mini fragment fixation and fusion needs. Multiple modules within the system offer 1.0 mm screws, 1.4 mm plates/screws, 1.6 mm plates/screws, 2.0 mm plates/screws, and 2.4 mm plates/screws along with associated instrumentation.

Indications
The Mini Fragment System is indicated for fracture fixation, reconstruction, replantation, stabilization, reduction, fusions, osteotomies, malunions, and nonunions of small bones and small bone fragments including normal and osteopenic bones in adult and adolescent (12-21 year) patients. The system is also indicated for non-load bearing stabilization and reduction of bone fragments in long bones.

Mini Fragment System 2.0 mm/2.4 mm/2.7 mm

The Arthrex Pilon Fusion System is an expansion to the Arthrex Ankle Fusion Plating System that adds to the Arthrex portfolio for the following procedures:

 <li>Distal tibia fractures that require fracture reduction and primary ankle arthrodesis</li>
 <li>Primary ankle fusions that necessitate additional screw options or plate lengths</li>
 <li>Revision ankle arthrodesis for failed primary fusions, hindfoot nails, or total ankle replacement</li>
</ul>
Severe damage to the tibiotalar (TT) joint often results in posttraumatic arthritis, pain, stiffness, and non-unions that require secondary surgeries. The Pilon Fusion System provides another option to address these severe scenarios with primary TT arthrodesis of the articular surface to potentially avoid additional surgery and chronic pain.
Anterolateral and posterior approaches, depending on the fracture pattern and/or soft-tissue condition, allow for fracture management, lengthy bridging techniques, anatomic implants, and fracture-specific locking configurations.

Pilon Fusion Plating System

The plantar Lapidus plate was designed to provide fixation for a Lapidus procedure. The plate is placed plantar on the 1st tarsometatarsal (TMT) joint and is fixed with two 3.5 mm locking screws at both the distal and proximal ends to optimize construct strength. The precontoured left and right plates allow secure plantar placement and spare the tibialis anterior tendon. The plantar Lapidus plate provides compression over the entire arthrodesis area using a solid 4.0 mm compression screw through the plate. The plantar orientation avoids gapping of the arthrodesis site during early weightbearing.1

Plantar Lapidus Plate

Arthrex offers a wide variety of solutions in our ankle fracture portfolio, including titanium plating options. Plate offerings include locking third tubular plates, 3.5 mm reconstruction plates, and the locking distal fibular plate. Each plate is designed for use with the Syndesmosis TightRope® XP implant and includes a compression hole in the proximal shaft of the plate. The distal fibular plate also includes 3.0 mm variable-angle locking screws distally and suture eyelets for the addition of the AITFL InternalBrace™ ligament augmentation procedure.
 
The InternalBrace surgical technique is intended only to augment the primary repair/reconstruction by expanding the area of tissue approximation during the healing period and is not intended as a replacement for the native ligament. The InternalBrace technique is for use during soft tissue-to-bone fixation procedures and is not cleared for bone-to-bone fixation.&nbsp;

The majority of plantar plate injuries are treated with traditional lesser MTPJ rebalancing procedures, including sequential release of soft tissue, tendon transfers, metatarsal osteotomies, and temporary MTPJ pinning. Complete Plantar Plate Repair System (CPR™)

The titanium Compression FT (fully threaded) screws come in 2.5 mm Micro, 3.5 mm Mini, 4.0 mm Standard, 5.0 mm Large, and 7.0 mm XL. The variable-stepped thread pitch and headless design help reduce the risk of profile complications, provide compression, and allow for simplified insertion. Surgeons can now achieve zero-profile, stable fixation. The Compression FT family of screws now offers 5 diameters and 91 screw lengths to fit various orthopedic applications throughout the body.

Compression FT Screws

The KreuLock locking compression screws combine the same proven technology found in our Headless Compression FT screws with a locking screw head to provide compression along the screw for treatment of fractures or fusions. Additionally, they are designed to bring the plate to bone.

The KreuLock locking compression screws combine the same proven technology found in our Headless Compression FT screws with a locking screw head to provide compression along the screw for treatment of fractures or fusions.

The Low Profile System (LPS) includes a complete screw and instrument set primarily for forefoot applications. The LPS 2 mm, 2.3 mm, 3 mm Screw Set includes the 2 mm and 3 mm QuickFix "snap off" screws, the 2.3 mm cannulated, and solid screws along with the new 3 mm cannulated partially threaded screws. The square instrument tray is only 9.5 x 9.5 x 2 inches deep and includes a screw system with four low profile fixation options.

Metal Screws

Arthrex carries anextensive line of both solid and cannulated metal screws in cortical, cancellous,and locking screw options. These screw are utilized for surgical fixation of fractures, fusions, and osteotomies. The cannulated screw line offers titanium partially threaded screws in 2.0 mm, 2.4 mm, 3.0 mm, and 4.0 mm lengths. There are also cannulated titanium full and Long Thread options of 4.5 mm and 6.7 mm. Additionally, Arthrex has Stainless Steel solid and cannulated screws used to treat various types of ankle fracture patterns.

The Compression Staple is the first cannulated compression staple system on the market, facilitating quick, easy, and accurate staple placement with less soft tissue disruption. The system includes graduated guidewires for ensuring appropriate leg length, cannulated drills for predrilling (if required), and a low profile staple bridge for minimal soft tissue irritation.
