Arthroscopic Foveal Reattachment of TFCC through an Ulnar Tunnel
A new technique, presented by Dr. Richard Howard (St. Louis, MO), describes a knotless arthroscopic repair of foveal TFCC tears through an ulnar tunnel. Using Micro SutureLassos, Fiberwire suture is passed arthroscopically through the torn TFCC. The sutures are then tensioned through an ulnar drill tunnel and the TFCC is reapproximated back to its ulnar attachment. Pushlock anchors are used to provide low profile knotless fixation of the sutures in the ulna. The final construct results in a stable knotless repair of the TFCC back to bone using a reproducible and low profile repair.
