Femoral Head Allograft OATS® Technique

Brian D. Giordano, MD, and P. Christopher Cook, MD, FRCSC, (Rochester, NY) provide a cadaveric demonstration of an open allograft OATS^® procedure of the femoral head using the Arthrex^® Allograft OATS instrumentation. In this demonstration, they outline the technique for an open surgical dislocation with a trochanteric osteotomy to gain access to the joint space. They provide an overview of the necessary steps to perform this procedure to replace the damaged cartilage of a lesion in the anterior superior region of the femoral head.
