Medial Hook Plate

Todd Oliver, MD, (Columbia, MO) presents the Medial Hook Plate animation. It is designed for fixing both small avulsion fractures, as well as, vertical sheer fractures due to the profile of the proximal portion of the plate working as a buttress. Distally, surgeons have the option of placing either the 2.7 mm locking screw or 3.0 mm cancellous screw in the plate for fragment specific fixation. Further compression can be achieved by placing a 4.0 mm cannulated screw through the hooks in the plate.
