Soft-tissue meniscal allograft transplantation techniques continue to evolve with the advancement of fixation devices. Using common meniscal repair devices allows for greater flexibility while ensuring anatomic graft placement. Quick and secure single-row fixation can be obtained with the SpeedFix technique using knotless SwiveLock® anchor and FiberTape® suture. The FastPass SCORPION-multifire suture passer is used to pass an inverted mattress stitch in one step. The mattress stitch can then be inserted into the SwiveLock® anchor eyelet and implanted into the prepared bone socket, completing the knotless repair. The use of FiberTape suture gives 3 times the contact area compared to a standard #2 FiberWire® suture.
It provides a broad footprint which can be helpful for repairs in degenerative cuff tissue where tissue pull-through may be a concern.

A modified SpeedBridge™ construct, with multiple suture passes and knotless SwiveLock® anchors laterally, provides a strong repair that may be applied in many tendon repair indications. An alternate repair technique is the use of whip stitches for the tendon that are passed through two small transosseous tunnels. The sutures are then crossed over the tendon to create a suture bridging construct completed with knotless SwiveLock anchors.

Triceps Technique

The PASTA bridge technique allows for the transtendon repair of partial, articular-sided supraspinatus tendon avulsions. This technique simplifies PASTA repair, while providing a secure construct technique that enhances footprint compression to maximize contact between tendon and bone.
The technique can be performed in a knotted or knotless fashion through percutaneous transtendon anchor insertion with no arthroscopic suture passing or knot tying, creating a simple, reproducible technique.

PASTA Repair Technique

The SpeedBridge double-row technique is used to repair a rotator cuff tear using a fully threaded SwiveLock® anchor combined with FiberTape® suture to create a quick and secure construct with no knots and only two suture-passing steps. The SpeedBridge double-row technique uses FiberTape suture with three times the contact area compared to a standard #2 FiberWire® suture.1 It provides a broad footprint that can be helpful for repairs to degenerative cuff tissue for which tissue pull-through may be a concern.

SpeedBridge™ Double-Row Technique

A transosseous equivalent SutureBridge that enhances footprint compression and may promote tendon healing-to bone can be achieved with minimal knot tying. The repair consists of a tied medial row constructed with two, fully threaded Corkscrew FT anchors, combined with knotless lateral fixation using two PushLocks or SwiveLocks. The result is a quick, secure and low profile repair with excellent contact between tendon and bone. The construct provides stability in rotation and protects a broad healing zone from synovial fluid infiltration.

SutureBridge™ Double Row Technique

Product

The fully threaded, knotless SwiveLock C anchor is designed for use with FiberWire® or FiberTape® sutures during rotator cuff repair with the SpeedFix™, SutureBridge™, or SpeedBridge™ technique. The Labral SwiveLock anchor is available for instability repair and provides very high pullout and insertion strength while saving time.1 SwiveLock anchors are cannulated and vented to minimize material and allow for potential bony ingrowth.2 The anchors are available in multiple sizes, and in bioabsorbable biocomposite or PLLA and nonabsorbable PEEK materials.
