In order to create congruent bony anatomy, the sulcus deepening trochleoplasty procedure helps patients get back to daily living activities.
Deepening trochleoplasty demands precise surgical skills and customized technical solutions for each individual patient and indication. The new Arthrex Trochlea Guide System enhances reproducible cartilage preparation, with 3 mm and 5 mm Offset Aiming Guides and effective, solid bone modelation with the dedicated 2.9 mm Burr. In conjunction with Arthrex PushLock® or SwiveLock® anchor fixations, this technique offers a solution for an anatomic trochlea recreation.

The CuffMend system provides an efficient, simplified approach for augmenting partial- and full-thickness rotator cuff tears. The system employs the benefits of a thick ArthroFlex dermal allograft, which provides mechanical strength and supports healing.1,2&nbsp;Introduce the graft using the graft spreader and use the FiberStitch™ RC implant for medial soft-tissue fixation to the rotator cuff tendon. Use self-punching PushLock®&nbsp;anchors, spanning the graft over the tuberosity footprint, for lateral bony fixation. Implantation of the CuffMend system is designed to be completed in less than 10 minutes. Scientific literature supports the use of acellular dermal grafts as a safe and effective solution for rotator cuff augmentation.3

CuffMend™ Rotator Cuff Augmentation Technique

The PushLock anchor is designed for simple and secure arthroscopic glenohumeral joint instability repair. The knotless technique saves valuable time and eliminates the possibility of knot impingement. This suture-first technique allows surgeons to independently pass suture through a desired amount of tissue prior to anchor implantation. Multiple suture configurations, including simple cinch and mattress stitches, can be accomplished with FiberWire®, FiberLink® SutureTape, FiberStick™, SutureTape, or LabralTape™ sutures using the Labral Scorpion™ or QuickPass™ SutureLasso™ suture passers. Tissue tension can be visualized and adjusted, if necessary, prior to final anchor implantation.

PushLock® Anchor Instability Technique

Designed for arthroscopic instability or rotator cuff repair, the knotless PushLock suture anchor uniquely allows surgeons to adjust tension on the tissue intraoperatively, ensuring precise tissue reduction and fixation.
PushLock anchors are available in 2.4 mm, 2.9 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4.5 mm sizes. The 2.4 mm and 2.9 mm PushLock anchors are optimized for labral repair. Use the 4.5 mm PushLock anchor for rotator cuff repair using the SutureBridge™ technique and the 3.5 mm PushLock anchor during rotator cuff or instability procedures.
The anchor bodies – available in bioabsorbable biocomposite or PLLA and nonabsorbable PEEK materials – are strong, revisable, and radioluscent implants with no MRI artifact. Each anchor has a PEEK eyelet for superior strength during insertion to allow firm tissue tensioning and shifting.1

PushLock® Anchor

While standard anchor fixation of the tendon creates only a single point of compression directly over the anchor, the SutureBridge™ enables an hourglass pattern of FiberWire® suture to be laid over the distal end of the tendon. This four-anchor construct enables a greater area of compression for the Achilles tendon on the calcaneus, improving stability and possibly allowing for earlier return to normal activities.

SutureBridge™

A transosseous equivalent SutureBridge that enhances footprint compression and may promote tendon healing-to bone can be achieved with minimal knot tying. The repair consists of a tied medial row constructed with two, fully threaded Corkscrew FT anchors, combined with knotless lateral fixation using two PushLocks or SwiveLocks. The result is a quick, secure and low profile repair with excellent contact between tendon and bone. The construct provides stability in rotation and protects a broad healing zone from synovial fluid infiltration.
