Procedure

The AutoCart™ surgical technique is for the treatment of symptomatic articular cartilage defects. This surgical approach is a single-stage, matrix-augmented, autologous chondrocyte transplantation that combines articular cartilage collected using the GraftNet™ device with BioCartilage® extracellular matrix.

Harnessing the power of biologics to provide all necessary components of healing, the BioACL™ technique uses the patient’s own bone collected using the GraftNet™ device and mixed with autologous bioactive fluid.&nbsp;
Using the Angel® system or Arthrex ACP® double-syringe system, concentrated platelet-rich plasma (cPRP) is obtained from bone marrow aspirate (BMA) or whole blood. The autologous mixture is then delivered into the bone tunnels created during an ACL reconstruction. In conjunction with the QuadLink™ technique, the BioACL technique provides the ultimate anatomic, minimally invasive, and reproducible approach for biologically augmented ACL reconstructions.

The suction-activated GraftNet device is designed to collect autologous tissue for a multitude of applications. When connected to an arthroscopic shaver, the GraftNet device may be used to remove tissue debris from a surgical site. This recovered autologous tissue is collected in an easily accessed, sterile filtered chamber. The GraftNet autologous tissue collector makes gaining access to autograft tissue as simple as Resect and Collect™.

The SynergyResection™ system offers a wide variety of shaver blades and specialty resection devices to support a multitude of biologic techniques and procedures for achieving optimal results. Additionally, the SynergyResection system is compatible with attachments for arthroscopic cartilage debridement, harvesting articular cartilage or bone, and marrow-stimulation procedures.
