Pinnacle Inc. is a Metro-Detroit based medical device sales agency that is privileged to be the exclusive distributor of Arthrex products throughout Southeast Michigan. We are committed to “helping surgeons treat their patients better” by focusing our sales efforts on surgeon education. We are currently looking for a Sports Medicine Sales Representative for our Oakland Territory in our East District who will help support our ongoing initiatives of educating top surgeons on the innovative technology Arthrex offers to increase the quality of life for all patients.
As an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Sales Representative for Pinnacle, Inc., you’ll be responsible for helping your team achieve predetermined sales goals and quotas within the Oakland Area by selling medical devices through expert education, professional sales techniques, and good customer service. Your goal is to establish, build, and maintain quality customer relationships, continuously educating customers on our innovative, market leading product portfolio. Your success in educating healthcare professionals on the features and benefits of Arthrex products and surgical techniques will increase the likelihood of surgeons using our products to treat their patients, positively impacting the bottom line, and allowing Pinnacle to continue to grow and provide healthcare professionals with products and services needed to help thousands of patients lead better lives.

DAY 1 IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO HAVE:
Ability to learn things quickly – You will be responsible for knowing a lot of information, including human anatomy, surgical techniques, and the features and benefits of Arthrex products. Arthrex has thousands of products for surgeons to choose from and is constantly coming out with new and improved products, so it’s important that you have the ability to learn quickly while retaining knowledge that you have learned in the past.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable – Activities and tasks in this role are continuous throughout the day, leaving little time for casual breaks and often leaving employees to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must be able to work some long hours, do well under pressure, and thrive in a sometimes unpredictable work environment.
Ability to communicate efficiently—Because of the fast-paced nature of the business, it is important to be able to exchange ideas, thoughts, opinions, knowledge, and data with clarity and purpose in a timely manner.
A MAJORITY OF YOUR TIME WILL BE SPENT:
- Representing Pinnacle, Inc.'s Sports Medicine product line and meeting or exceeding sales objectives of Arthrex products for the Oakland Area.
- Building and maintaining strong business relationships with existing account surgeons and healthcare professionals.
- Increasing the account base and volume of sales by utilizing company leads to identify new prospects, determine their needs, and develop and implement various sales strategies to meet those needs.
- Communicating with customer accounts via telephone, email, or in person regarding various topics including product updates, changes to product portfolios, billing issues, and educational programs.
- Cross-selling additional products and managing new product introductions as they become available.
- Meeting quarterly objectives/goals.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related degree in health field is a plus.
- Possess a valid State Driver's License, safe driving record, and insurance.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office Suite, and common internet browsers.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic industry.
- Demonstrated sales success in a competitive B2B industry a plus.
- Experience as an associate in the orthopedic industry a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to travel to training courses when necessary.
- Ability to work on-call after hours on a rotational basis with your assigned teammates.
- Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments.
