About Fortis Surgical

As the exclusive agency representing Arthrex in Virginia, we are dedicated to delivering uncompromising quality to the healthcare professionals who use our products, and ultimately, the millions of patients whose lives we impact. Whether you are new to sales or a seasoned professional, at Fortis Surgical you get the opportunity to develop your career from “salesperson” into being one of the best-trained representatives in the orthopedic industry.

Being a Technology Representative

This entry-level role will challenge you to manage the demands of an intensive product training program, the day-to-day support needs of your team, as well as the efforts and activities it requires to be an active salesperson.

Fortis University

All new representatives are required to complete Fortis University, our in-house training that includes educational instruction, self-guided online training, and hands-on bio-skills. This program will familiarize you with Arthrex’s extensive product offerings and help you understand the appropriate anatomy and biomechanics in orthopedics.

Field Experience

Training continues in the operating room where your team will guide you in assisting surgeons and staff in the safe and effective use of our products.

Arthrex Initial Onsite Training

All representatives are required to attend a demanding, 5-day schooling at Arthrex’s corporate facility in Naples, FL.

Once training is completed, Technology Representatives can expect their day-to-day to consist of

  • Case Coverage: Preparation, attendance, and execution
  • Logistics: Transportation of implants and instruments to/from facilities
  • Account Management: Serve as point of contact for inventory restocks, surgery schedules, collecting purchase orders, providing quotes, and completing sales orders in RedSpot
  • Sales Development: Conducting product demonstrations, pre-call planning, sales appointments, and invitation to medical education labs and events

Requirements

Requirements:

The Technology Representative will be a salaried employee of Fortis with some potential for incentive as an individual shows a capacity to learn and support the sales team by actively contributing to quota goals. This position will report directly to the Team Lead of the assigned territory but may take direction from District Managers and Territory Managers (TM) as well.

The Technology Representative will conduct business ethically and adhere to all applicable Fortis, Arthrex and hospital guidelines including specific credentialing requirements and ADVAMED http://advamed.org/
