Description

The Medical Education Manager is responsible for educating surgeons on the safe and effective use of the medical devices sold by Music City Medical Technologies and for liaising between clients and internal staff.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, marketing, and running a successful medical education event for Music City Medical Technologies and for facilitating medical device training for surgeons at multiple locations in conformance with company objectives and standards.
  • Develop training materials and processes and record completed educational sessions thoroughly.
  • Stay current and be the expert on all current and new products and/or surgical techniques that Arthrex has available or launched and can effectively communicate and teach the benefits and safe and effective use of these products or techniques to surgeons, PAs, and the sales force.
  • Coordinate cadaveric labs, order instrument sets, supplies, etc., for the labs. • Assess training needs, priorities, and required skill sets continuously to keep training material current.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational trainings and make recommendations for necessary revisions.
  • Coordinate single-day labs, create agendas, and ensure successful execution.
  • Maintained sample inventory for multiple labs, including ordering samples and shipping them to the appropriate representatives.
  • Assist the sales team with demonstration resources for sales presentations.
  • Proactively assess needs to overcome specific category shortfalls by providing solutions/resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Extensive medical experience and knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical procedures required.
  • Strong presentation skills required. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Previous experience managing, planning, and organizing training events and materials required.
  • A willingness and ability to travel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
