Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing, supporting, and executing an organizational sales strategy to achieve sales goals, increase sales activities, and improve sales-related key performance indicators. This position is also responsible for building relationships, motivating the Sales department, and overseeing team performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Support and execute an organizational sales strategy to achieve sales goals, increase sales activities, and improve sales-related performance indicators.
- Manage and coach sales team to distribute appropriate appraisals, provide constructive feedback on previous sales activities, and align individual sales strategy with organizational sales strategy.
- Develop and implement new sales campaigns, initiatives, strategies, and programs to attract new and retain current customers.
- Monitor sales team performance, assess strengths and weaknesses, and determine training and development priorities based on results.
- Provide operating room consulting.
- Forecast anticipated market sales, sets sales quotas, and advise management about sales performance.
- Provide educational training to internal team members for continuous growth and improvement.
- Attend surgeon educational seminars/events.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a medical sales team.
- A proven leader with an impressive ability to drive business results and to develop a successful sales team.
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- A willingness and ability to travel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
