Description

In the role of Steelhead Surgical Spine Product Manager, you'll lead sales efforts and provide technical guidance for Arthrex Spine products, covering biologics and soft tissue solutions. As the primary technical authority within the agency, you'll utilize your expertise to educate customers, support agency personnel, and advise surgeons in the operating room on the application of our implants and instruments. Additional responsibilities involve staying updated on Arthrex Spine products and techniques, along with achieving set sales targets in your designated territory.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Steelhead Surgical, an authorized agent for Arthrex, while engaging with a sophisticated audience consisting of surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Cultivate relationships with spine surgeons through daily appointments, focusing on educating them on proper instrumentation and techniques.
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives within the assigned territory for the Arthrex Spine products category.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Spine product line, portfolio, business objectives, pricing strategies, and effective sales techniques.
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding product updates, portfolio changes, and educational opportunities.
  • Conduct training sessions for physicians on Arthrex products through educational programs such as labs and training courses.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales representatives and associates.
  • Assume responsibility for field inventory and sales samples as assigned.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping, including Sales Figures, Quotas, and planning worksheets on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
  • Uphold compliance standards and ethical principles in all interactions and activities.
  • Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven ability to engage with customers in the spine, orthopedics, and biologics markets.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience in the spine and spine implant industry or surgical team environment.
  • Comfortable working in surgery/operating room environments.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Act as the primary Spine product contact between Agency management, field employees, and Arthrex accounts.
  • Possession of a current Driver’s License and access to personal transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Proficiency in PC applications including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing (Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Dynamic, assertive individual with technical-oriented leadership abilities, excellent communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for job effectiveness.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to frequent assignment changes, handle periodic heavy workloads, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth.
  • Ability to comprehend complex reference material, written user manuals, and knowledge of medical terminology.
