Description
An Ortho Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within the entire service area. The sales specialist must establish, build, and maintain customer relations through constant communication and in-person appointments. As an Ortho Sales Specialist, your primary functions include assisting in sales and technical support in your assigned Arthrex product portfolio. The Ortho Sales Specialist will coordinate and communicate with a team of experienced sales reps. The right candidate must advance current customer relations and establish new ties through constant communications and in-person appointments alone and with team members. The Ortho Sales Specialist will be assigned an area of expertise including, but not limited to, Distal Extremity & Trauma Sales, Arthroplasty, Biologics, Sports Medicine, and others. The technical expert for these products within their team will use their knowledge to educate customers, support agency employees, and consult with surgeons in the operating room. You will be consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of our products while working closely with our Sports Medicine and Distal Extremity Team Leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the
- Represent Cornerstone Medical Associates, an authorized agency of Arthrex, a leader in the Orthopedic industry, by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals.
- Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding various topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolios, and educational programs.
- Identify the needs of new prospects and develop appropriate responses (written, telephone and face-to-face).
- Cross-sell additional products or manage new product introductions as they become available.
- Address any problems that arise at the account.
- Support compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting non-compliance; and adhering to applicable federal, state & local laws and regulations, accreditation & licenser requirements, and company policies & procedures.
- Maintain training in sales skills, product features/benefits, and other critical business.
- Collect competitive data and remain current on industry, customer, and competitive products.
- Participate in and attend sales and professional association meetings outside regular business hours, as necessary.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedics industry.
- Two years of sales success preferred.
- Excellent communication, planning, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to comfortably present to 10 or more people in complex negotiations.
- COVID-19 Vaccination Preferred
- Demonstrate initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Microsoft Office required.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills are required.
- Strong sense of urgency is important.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
- Current Driver’s license
- Access to your own transportation
