Description
Gotham Surgical is seeking an Inventory Logistics Specialist for our White Plains office. The Inventory Logistics Specialist is responsible for all daily office activities ensuring smooth operations for hospital caseloads. This includes assistance in company profitability by better managing Inventory at all levels of the Inventory process. Implementation of a scanning system, coordinating and tracking all shipments to offsite facilities, establishing sales team par stock through use of ERP software, and maintaining accurate stock levels at company’s hub warehouse.
The Inventory Logistics candidate should understand FIFO inventory processes and will be responsible in maintaining the accuracy of all Inventory materials. Attention to detail is an essential aspect of the job. To accomplish this goal, the Inventory Logistics Specialist will work closely with the Office Manager, Finance, Inventory and Warehouse teams, DEX Managers to establish control over all movements of inventoried items.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement & oversee inventory control activities.
- Work with the sales teams to fulfill their case requests.
- Work with sales managers and salesforce to prioritize the needs of product shipments
- Manage product lines and stock levels at all sites.
- Implement best practices and protocols with Office Manager with DEX and Trauma inventory control, asset management, and tracking.
- Prepare and monitor the schedule for all product deliveries.
- Assist with Logistics on coordination of asset pick-up and delivery.
- Work with sales representatives to place all orders with manufacturer and properly issue inventory to the allocated sales team.
- Monitor stock levels at warehouse and know when to replenish, making sure every item of stock gets to its destination on time, and that there are no shortages on shelves.
- Supervises daily activities and verifies accuracy of computerized inventory records. Monitors and adjusts inventory as required with current inventory software and Microsoft applications.
- Work with management to develop and implement new procedures to streamline process and identify inventory discrepancies.
- Purchase materials in a timely manner and at lowest cost available while identifying and optimizing common inventory items used by each site or warehouse.
- Review contents of trays, kits & bin and replenish missing products appropriately with office managers.
- Screens returned goods in the warehouse that have not yet been processed and ships overstock, defective or non-used items back to manufacturer in a timely manner.
- Achieving company objectives regarding physical inventory losses and cycle counts. Coordinates and assists in reconciliations of all quarterly cycle counts and annual audit counts.
- Assists management in alternate methods to dispose of obsolete inventory items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years management or operations experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Prior management experience including fulfilling simultaneous requests.
- Excellent computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing, etc.)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and inventory work flow management skills
- Excellent Communication skills
Experience:
