The Opportunity:

The Assistant Accountant role supports the Senior Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of Arthrex ANZ’s financial accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with the Senior Financial Accountant, ensure all monthly reconciliations are accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain the company general ledger including posting and preparing journal entries
  • Manage and post intercompany journals and reconciliations
  • Compile and record monthly accruals, prepayment & bank reconciliation
  • Prepare lease accounting and deferred revenue journals
  • Assist in the month end processes and drive process improvements in the month end close
  • Prepare cashflow reporting and forecasting
  • Manage inventory accounts and reconciliations
  • Coordinate fixed asset accounting and reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly tax filings, including but not limited to GST, FBT income and payroll taxes
  • Support audit activity to ensure audit requests or inquiries are completed on time
  • Develop a relationship with all internal stakeholders in Arthrex in order to stay ahead of expectations
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement within your areas of responsibility

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in an Accounting role,
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (preferred),
  • Experience with any of the following systems would be advantageous and highly considered: SAP, Concur, TM1 and PowerBI,
  • Excellent analytical abilities,
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Ability to work well within a group environment,
  • Prior experience working within in a multi-national organisation would be advantageous,
  • Valid Australian work rights.
