A major advancement in orthopedic surgery providing the ultimate in reliability and strength, FiberWire^® sutures are constructed of a multi-stranded, long chain, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) core with a braided jacket of polyester and UHMWPE. This combination provides superior strength, soft feel, and abrasion resistance that virtually eliminates breakage during knot tying. FiberWire suture is often five times more abrasion resistant than standard polyester sutures.

FiberLoop<sup>®</sup>

FiberLoop^®

Part of the FiberWire^® suture family, FiberLoop^® is FiberWire suture where both ends of the suture are attached to a single needle, creating a suture loop. FiberLoop is the perfect suture option for multi-strand tendon repairs. These small diameter looped FiberWire products allow for strong multi-strand flexor and extensor tendon repairs while reducing tendon damage from multiple needle passes. FiberLoop is available with multiple needle options to prevent cutting suture while stitching.

FiberStick™ and TigerStick<sup>®</sup>

FiberStick™ and TigerStick^®

FiberStick™ and TigerStick^® are part of the FiberWire^® family. The stiff “waxed” end of the FiberStick and TigerStick allows convenient and easy advancement through most cannulated instruments or spinal needles. By allowing simple push-through passing of FiberWire suture, it alleviates the need for a monofilament suture or wire suture shuttle. FiberStick and TigerStick come with a thin plastic tube which protects the stiffened suture end until use.
