Suture Cutters

Arthrex has a comprehensive offering of open and arthroscopic suture cutters designed specifically for use with FiberWire or FiberTape sutures. The uniquely designed jaws remain sharp through repeated use. Multiple cutters are available with open or closed ends, standard ring or WishBone handles and flush cut or knot-preserving suture tail options.

Arthroscopic Suture Cutters

The Suture Cutters were designed to facilitate arthroscopic cutting of FiberWire and braided suture. The uniquely designed cutting jaws remain sharp throughout repeated use. The Suture Cutters are available in a closed and open end, left notch version. The closed end Suture Cutter allows the surgeon to leave a 3 mm suture tail without the possibility of cutting the knot. The open end, left notch version facilitates suture cutting inside the joint without having to top load the cutter. The FiberTape Cutter was designed to allow for flush cutting of two FiberTapes.

FiberWire® Scissors

The FiberWire® Scissor was designed to cut any size or style suture, especially FiberWire, in open surgical cases where an arthroscopic suture cutter is not necessary. With its specially designed cutting edges, it can cut FiberWire cleanly and effortlessly without frayed edges. The color coded handle facilitates instrument differentiation in large instrument packs.
