Mini-Incision Modified Brostrom Gould Repair Utilizing the Arthrex® Brostrom Repair System and 2.9 mm DX PushLock®

James Cottom, DPM, FACFAS (Bradenton, FL) presents a live surgery demonstrating a Mini-Incision modified Brostrom repair utilizing the Arthrex® Brostrom Repair System. The Arthrex Brostrom Repair System allows surgeons to complete a modified Brostrom repair through one tiny 1.5 cm incision with the aid of a Micro SutureLasso™ to shuttle the sutures through the ATFL and extensor retinaculum. To add strength to the repair, after tying the construct tightly to the fibula, Dr. Cottom elects to modify his Mini-Incision Brostrom repairs by bridging the repair superiorly on the fibula using a 2.9 mm DX PushLock®.
