Brostrom Repair With InternalBrace™ 2.0 Ligament Augmentation Procedure
James McWilliam, MD (New York, NY), provides a cadaveric demonstration of the InternalBrace™ 2.0 ligament augmentation procedure with DX FiberTak® anchors with SutureTape following a Brostrom repair. The InternalBrace procedure results in a biomechanically superior repair versus Brostrom alone1 and allows for accelerated rehabilitation2 in patients with ankle instability.

The InternalBrace surgical technique is intended only to augment the primary repair/reconstruction by expanding the area of tissue approximation during the healing period and is not intended as a replacement for the native ligament. The InternalBrace technique is for use during soft tissue-to-bone fixation procedures and is not cleared for bone-to-bone fixation.
